Guy Rescues A Baby Deer, And Now It Visits Him Every DayWhen Erikas Plucas came back home one ordinary day he found a baby moose lying all by herself just outside his gate. “The first sight of her was heartbreaking,” Plucas, who lives in Lithuania, told The Dodo. “She was starved, dirty, sad, her fur was infested with flies, and she was so terrified of me when she first saw me but was too weak to run away, to even get up.” Plucas assumed that the baby’s mother must have been shot by hunters, leaving the tiny deer terrified and in danger to die of starvation. Plucas decided to keep the deer, an a magical friendship between the animal and the man. At first, Plucas would feed her every four hours, and even sleep next to her in the barn or outside to make sure the animal felt safe. Eventually, it was time to release the deer back into the wild. However, up until now, the deer still visits her ‘dad’ every single day! The deer seems to be pregnant, so soon Plucas will get even more visitors – and he couldn’t be happier about it. “I’m her world now and she is mine,” Plucas said. “Sometimes I wonder was it me who saved her, or is it the other way around?”.
